Assemblyman David R. Townsend, Jr. was elected in November, 1990 to serve the people of New York State’s 115th Assembly District. A resident of Kirkland, he has dedicated his life to law enforcement, working for the Rome Police Department, the New York State Police and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department. Assemblyman Townsend currently serves as the Republican Whip, and is a member of the Assembly Committees on Codes, Labor and Rules.
