Assemblywoman Janet L. Duprey was elected to represent the 114th Assembly District on November 7, 2006.  Duprey previously served five terms as Clinton County Legislator and was elected County Treasurer in 1986, a position she held until December, 2006.  Ms. Duprey is committed to ensuring that North Country families receive quality health care and has a long record of concern for both the education of young people and the quality of life for those in retirement. In Albany, she serves as Ranking Republican on the Assembly Governmental Operations Committee.
