
Assemblyman Dan Burling served on the Genesee County Legislature from 1993 until he was elected to the 147th New York State Assembly District in 1998. His district includes Wyoming, Livingston, Genesee and Allegany counties. During his tenure as a county legislator, Genesee County property tax rates never increased. In fact, Dan fought for and won the first county property tax decrease in almost 20 years. He is also a pharmacist. Assemblyman Burling currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Assembly Republican Conference.
